CD Castellón swiftly introduced a new eCommerce platform, aligning with the club's ambitious five-year plan for LaLiga promotion, enhancing fan engagement, and boosting merchandise sales.
Having recently been purchased by a new owner, Castellón football club, needed to urgently revamp its eCommerce offering for the fans. The immediate need was to create a new integrated eCommerce site into the existing one, providing fans with an opportunity to buy merchandise and show their support for the club.
A new eCommerce site was designed, built and implemented as part of the existing website using WooCommerce's infrastructure to incorporate over 291 products across multiple merchandise segments.
The new site is generating over 30k visitors per month, with the average engagement time rising by 31% compared to before the eCommerce module was live. In addition, the Club saw sales equating to 10% of annual targets in a single month following the launch of the site.
